Cara is an AI agent for people in Ireland: it helps buyers by emailing estate agents, booking viewings and tracking bids, and it helps households save money by getting quotes and better prices for them. It’s run from Dublin. This page explains what Cara collects, why, who helps run it, and how to get it deleted. Questions go to admin@usecara.ie.

What we collect

If you connect your Gmail

This is optional. By default Cara writes from its own address and copies you. If you choose “From my email”, Google asks you to let Cara send email on your behalf. Cara uses that only to send the emails you asked for, or that belong to a house you’re tracking. Replies are addressed to you and to Cara, so they reach the right thread without Cara reading your inbox.

Cara can’t read your inbox, doesn’t use your email for advertising, and doesn’t sell it. You can disconnect in the app at any time, which deletes the access keys Cara holds, or remove Cara from your Google account’s security settings.

Cara’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use it

We never sell your data, and we never share it for advertising. Nothing goes to an estate agent unless you asked for it or the house is one you track.

Who helps run Cara

Property details come from public listings; we don’t share your data with property portals.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and threads while you use Cara. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it, including your houses, threads, emails, photos, connected mailbox and usage log. Waitlist details are deleted on request, or when the beta ends if you never joined. What you asked for from a money page, and any bill you sent, is deleted on request, and bills a year after the job is done.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email admin@usecara.ie and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission.

Changes

If we change how Cara uses your data, we’ll update this page and, for anything significant, tell you by email.
